The case study on one case of the Bell’s palsy during the period of pregnancy

Abstract
|
|
|
Purpose :The purpose of this case study is to report the effect of oriental treatments to the Bell’s palsy during the period of pregnancy.
Methods :We treated the patient who had the Bell’s palsy during the period of pregnancy and visited DongShin University oriental hospital. The patient in this case was admitted for 22days(10th/January/2004-31th/January/2004) due to the Bell’s palsy on the seventeenth week period of pregnancy. In consideration of pregnancy, the patient was treated with oriental treatments such as herb medication and acupuncture therapy.
Results :As a result, symtoms are remarkably alleviated.
Conclusion : After this, further approach and study on the disease of a pregnant woman might be needed.
